All Off To Sunny Walton on the…

Day 4: 23rd March, Thursday

We didn’t sleep well. Mainly to my snoring again. So we are both a little rough for wear. The wife is trying not to let it get to her and put on a brave face. I have a headache. But one little thing has happened for the first time this week. The sun has come out.

I am not sure what we are going to do today. But if you noticed in the photo, there’s a market stand in the corner. Today seems to be a Market day. So we may go and have a butchers.

Oh, and one other thing. It’s my birthday.

I Love Dr Pepper

Before we left for our holiday, my wife decided to give me my birthday present as it was a bit heavy to carry with us. I love Dr Pepper after finding this flavour in St.Ives. I have been having problems trying to buy it at a reasonable price. The wife bought a twenty-four pack.

It turns out the area in the photo that showed the market stall was the whole market. We thought there would be more to it. But nope.

We found a plant stall and brought these home with us.

We decided to have a walk along the beach and take some photos. Along the way, we popped into another amusement arcade.

A Little Bit Of Shopping

After our walk, we headed back to the shops. The wife needed some stuff for her eyes. While we were there, we checked out some charity shops. We also found a shop selling American food and drinks. I was able to buy a cherry vanilla Dr Pepper. The wife got a grape-flavoured Fanta.

We found a sort of Army and Navy shop. I found a hooded jacket, and I treated myself.

One thing you should know about the shops of Walton on the Naze. Some of them still only take cash. The shops will display this before you go in. Not to worry, as there are a couple of cash machines around.

Just before returning to the room: We popped into Tescos and picked up some provisions, including what she originally wanted for her eyes, then finished off by nipping to the chip shop for a couple of bags.

Relaxing back in the room, I continued with this blog, and the wife played her mobile Animal Crossing game whilst we ate our chips.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing whilst it started to rain outside.
