Name and Shame
I have been wandering about this, for years. Why isn’t this a thing? It would broadcast the thief’s in the area. As well as helping to stop crime. It can shame those who insist on stealing. Safe guarding the workers and customers from getting into unneeded harm or abuse. Hopefully, helping the economy to bring prices down.
