Porthminster Beach

Day 7: One Last Beach

It had been raining last night. The air was a lot cooler than yesterday. For our last day here, we are going to the last beach of the four in St. Ives, Portminster Beach. The seagulls can’t decide how loud they want to be this morning.

We got up and did our usual things. It’s a new ASMR video day for my YouTube, Odysee, Instagram and Tiktok sites. So I uploaded the video while the wife got ready. She gave a read-through of my blog while I got ready.

Breakfast time. The teapot today isn’t as colourful as the others. But still nice.

Returning to our room, I posted my blog and got ourselves ready to go out for the day.

We made our way down to the beachfront. We didn’t need to travel that far as most of the journey was a straight line down plenty of stairs.

The beach is as picturesque as it looks, the best-looking beach out of the four. The only downside was the crab carcasses left by the seagulls.

The wife spent some time walking on the beach and soaking her feet in the sea. I also learned that my walking boots were waterproof as they got wet by the tide. She had brought an empty glass bottle with her, which she had bought from a tourist shop. So she could take some of the sand homes with her. We also went searching for shells.

We eventually left the beach and had a walk around the town. As we walked, it started raining again. We walked down a narrow street. The wife found this little shop. As you enter the shop you are welcomed with mild incense.

We spent a decent amount of time in this shop. We bought an array of stones that apparently helped with our chakras and other things. I just thought they looked nice.

We continued walking around the town and the wife started to not feel so good. As we slowly made our way to the B&B, she bought a giant flapjack from a homemade shoppe. Then we continued to get some provisions and went back to the B&B so she could rest and relax. We took the time to refuel with the supplies we acquired.

Our mission was to find a decent Cornish pasty that didn’t cost the earth and ended with purchasing Ginsters from a local coop. Failure!

We begin packing so we don’t need to rush around tomorrow.
