Harbour Beach

Day 5: It’s Raining.

Again we were awoken by the rave party the seagulls were having, screaming their little F-ing hearts out. Bless them. It’s also a little cooler this morning. We’ll see if that changes later.

While I was getting ready this morning, my head began hurting when I brushed it. I think I got sunburnt on the top of my head. Hopefully, the weather will stay cooler today. Otherwise, I may have to buy a hat. I do hope they sell extra large.

We headed down for breakfast and had a chin wag with an elderly couple. Also, I am enjoying the teapot collection.

After we finished our breakfast, we went to our room to collect our bags and then carry on with our next adventure.

Watch your back! These ducks patrol the area.

Grabbing our things, we headed out towards the harbour beach. As we walked along the beachfront, it started raining. It was welcome, cooling down everything. But it did cause a problem when taking photos. You can see the results below:

The wife liked the photos. So I posted them. I hope you like them too.

So, after we completed our trip around the harbour, my next mission was to find a cream tea shop for the wife. She wasn’t leaving Cornwall until she got what she wanted. Fair enough. So that is what we did. After walking around for a while, we finally found a place called Coasters tea shop.

I am not a fan of scones. So, I left it to the wife to enjoy her cream tea. I had a doorstop ham and cheese sandwich. The bread was fresh, although I didn’t care for the side rocket. As with most places, the price was a bit high for what I got. We shared the tea as there was plenty in the pot. The wife seemed to have enjoyed her food. It is ideal if you want a quiet place to rest for a little also if you like 90s reggae.

The shop is down a side road behind the church heading towards the harbour beach.

Afterwards, we went to get some provisions and got a cab back to the B&B.

The missus had a nap, and I tried my best to continue writing. We were both exhausted. We found out later the wife had sunburned her head after she had had a shower. We had something to eat. The wife went to her colouring books to relax.

Tomorrow will be a bit different.
