So What’s Been Happening Recently? #7

So What’s Been Happening Recently? #7
Since my birthday in March things have been a bit quite. I went back to work and continued with the mundane life of eating, sleeping, working. Even with the small incident with the package, being wrongfully delivered elsewhere (see So This Just Happened! #2).
I have completed my Christmas shopping. I had it finished by august. I won’t say what I have bought yet. In case any of my family reads my blog. Sorry, No Spoilers! I have finished paying off my motorcycle. I now officially own it, Yay Me!
The missus and I went to the cinema a couple of times. We went to see Avengers Infinity War. Which was amazing. Jurassic World was okay. Recently, we went to see the Christopher Robin film. Which is also a great, family movie. I just felt the ending was a bit rushed.
I am still reading, using my Kindle Paperwhite. At the moment I am making my way through a series written by David and Leigh Eddings. It is a series of thirteen books. The first set of five is called The Belgariad. The second five is called The Malloreon. Then the last three are prequel autobiographies. I am currently on Belgarath the Sorcerer. The series is amazing. If you enjoy fantasy with magic, wars, adventure, gods and prophecies. If you enjoy Game of Thrones. This is better. But that’s just my opinion. You should give this a go.
The wife and I took our usual annual anniversary week off in July. We mostly relaxed at home. Due to the Christopher Robin movie coming out. The wife wanted to visit the actual place where the books were inspired. So on the 24th July 2018. We went to Hartfield. The hundred acre woods is actually called the five hundred acre wood, in Ashford forest.

If you enjoy a walk through the forest. This is a great place to go and enjoy the sites of the world of Winnie the Pooh.

There are two trips you can take. one short and one long. Here’s a link to the pdf file of the map. We didn’t do the whole walk as the walking got too much for the missus. Plus the fresh air was making her tired. Also it was a really hot day.
So we got in to the van and headed to another Pooh spot, the Poohsticks Bridge. It’s a little further up the road. Also it is a trek to get there after parking the van.
Following the signs it’s a slow walk down a hill, through the forest until you get to the bridge.

If you go over the bridge and go a bit further along you come up to something else.
You come across the “home” of Winnie the Pooh.

People leave messages for Pooh and the odd pot of honey.
So after a trek back to the van we headed for one final place on the Pooh trip. A shop called Pooh Corner. It also has a place called Piglets Tearoom.

We left after getting some drinks and the wife got a souvenir. We then headed back for dinner at the Ming Long.
