So What’s Been Happening Recently? #30
Day 3: We ain’t going anywhere! Well maybe.
25th July
The wife came over for a cuddle and I screamed out in pain. The bed had screwed my back up. Even though we are in a new room. The bed being better than the last. It’s still rubbish. But we didn’t care really. I check my phone and It’s just around 6 am. Nice!
It looks like it’s been raining during the night. Everything was cloudy. Slowly waking up. Trips to the bog. My throat is feeling like crap and I make a cuppa. Which helps a little.
The wife plays Animal Crossing. I try and see if I can use the hotels WiFi. Yep. It’s still crap. It’s getting close to 9 am and we are going to miss breakfast. We talk about this for about a bit and the wife is falls asleep on the bed again. So that’s not happening. She’s not feeling great. Maybe a mixture of sea air, exercise and not enough sleep. We might get out a little later…
A little while later the wife finally wakes up while I was watching some stuff in the laptop and she goes to get herself ready to go out. I start getting the bags ready for tomorrow when we leave. I know it’s a bit early but it will help things a bit in the morning.
11.50 am We head out and go down to the high street. Nothing really planned just get some provisions. Also check out the shops.
Our first stop was a shop we went to yesterday. Where I was looking for a keyring of Folkestone. They sell cards and party stuff. A shop called The Wishing Well.
The wife found what she was looking for and we moved on.
Next stop was a shop that specialised in board games. We could see some of the things outside which is dangerous because the wife tends to get the wannas. But we went in anyway.
It’s a fairly large shop. On two levels. The upstairs was closed off but I think upstairs are used for tabletop gaming. The bottom has a array of different things but they could get away with sell more items as not all of the space was being utilised. She ended up buying a Orko Funko Pop. Also some Beetlejuice notebooks.
After her purchases we moved on to the market and found a couple more awesome little shops one being a second hand shop called Books & Toys. They sold things like toys, books, bags and other things people don’t want anymore. Where she bought a plush Stormtrooper.
We found another shop that sells a bit if everything. This one was called Barcode Buys. They seem to like harry Potter. I never went inside this shop as it seemed a bit cramped. But the wife went in. She loved it. Here she found a rare Chucky bobblehead that she had been after for a long time. It was cheaper than she had seen online.
We wandered around for a while and ended up at the local church. Even though I’m not a religious person, I do love an old church and graveyard.
Before heading back we popped into Asdas for some food and drink. Then back to room just after 2 where we continued our monging. The wife hadn’t been feeling well most of the day. So after some food she had a sleep for a couple of hours. I continued with watching stuff on my laptop. It was lucky we got back in time it had been trying to rain. But now it let rip.
