My Life That Happened In… #4
Episode #3
… January 2024
Life has been pretty dull at the moment. There has been nothing to write about. But for some reason, on the 12/13th, I did have the tri-vector of Panic attacks. A cascade, if you will. Meaning I started to have one at work. I rushed outside the warehouse for some fresh air, not before informing the coordinator for a First Aider.
I waited outside whilst having my attack. After a while, the First Aider turned up. When I thought it was over. I returned inside, and she wanted to take me to the first aid room. Fair enough, that was fine until I spoke to a manager on the way, and It started all over again. We went out another entrance, and I went through the motions again. After I calmed down, we went into the first aid room, where I tried to relax.
The manager came to the room to check on me. But something wasn’t right. Before the first attack began. I felt like I was already in the middle of one. Although it hadn’t matured, I think that’s the right word. It was just sitting there, surrounding my brain. But didn’t have the right energy or oomph to start up.
I discussed this with the others when it finally kicked in. Luckily, it only lasted about a minute. That was the bit I was waiting for to come through. I was a little tired after all that. So I decided to get something to eat and then go home. I have an apple and some chocolates from my lunch bag.
At Home
I don’t know what was the primary cause of it all. But before leaving for work, I did write down in my journal that I knew I was depressed and I was a little emotional, so I don’t know if that all came crashing down after that.
Getting home, I relaxed in the dark and watched some YouTube. I also reheated my dinner for work and rested until I decided to get some sleep.
Going Shopping
That same day, the 13th, was also my day off. I had arranged a quick shopping trip with my wife. It was a little bit stressful. We both felt the impact of a shopping centre full of people. But we did our best to manoeuvre around everyone.
I needed some new underwear, and the wife wanted to add a few more albums to her Cradle of Filth collection. As well as some hygiene products. I also treated us to some McDonalds and for a final look. Even though we popped into Cex afterwards. We treated ourselves to a new book from Waterstones.
It was dark when we went to the bus stop after leaving Lakeside. Although, we did leave home later than we wanted.
My New Skin
Later that evening, I decided it was time. To change the skin on my Surface Duo 2. It came with a carbon fibre style already on it. But I wasn’t keen. By luck, I found a site called Xtremeskins to create a new one from the designs on the site. So, I chose the following:
Things May Be Changing
16th January. We are waiting for confirmation. But a major life-changing event may be happening in the future. I will explain later next month.
I Bought Some More Stuff
Visiting Aliexpress again. I needed to add some protection to my new phone. But the items I purchased, I am not happy with them. But being reasonably cheap, I am not too bothered.
I decided not to use this case as I would be restricted. Mostly because. I wouldn’t be able to open the phone as designed. The only other option would be to trim a portion from the edge of both sides in the middle of the case.
The second item I tried. Again, it’s a decent case but not practical for my needs. I ripped off the back clip parts. I am using the hook clip on another bag. It’s not shown in the photos.
I was also able to buy my new knee pads. They do not entirely convince me of their strength in a crash. But they will do, for now. I do have another pair I am looking at. But we will see.
Oh, would you look at that… A new hat!
I nearly forgot.
I also bought a new sling/crossbody bag. The one I have at the moment is still a great bag. But I have a Umm moment every time I use it. So, I thought I would try this out.
More Mental Problems
29th January.
I became ill again. My wife triggered me, and it built up. Although I never had a full attack. I wasn’t in the best place to be able to work. So I stayed home.
That’s pretty much it for this month. Not a lot to write about. Maybe a little more next month. TTFN!
