My Life That Happened In #30…

Episode #29

… March 2026

Sunday 1st

Last night at work before some time off. The manager isn’t happy with me going, but I don’t care. I have been waiting a long time for this, and I am going to try to enjoy it.

But for the time being. I have to finish this shift. As there wasn’t much work coming in, I was sent to a zone on the shop floor to refill stock. But before that, I quickly sorted some paperwork and printed off stuff for the next shift.

I was also called on to cook again.

It was discussed, but it wasn’t actually asked. I took it anyway and cooked some bacon, making sure to put out sliced bread and buns.

It went down a treat. I’m happy with the result. I even kept some bacon put to one side to have in my lunch.

I finished everything I needed to do and, at the same time, stretched out since there wasn’t much left.

Back home, I forgot my routine and relaxed until it was time for bed.

I woke up a couple of hours before midnight and continued with and finished off my latest life blog. I have decided I will publish tomorrow.

Monday 2nd

After doing all I can with my blog, I go and relax with something to eat and rest until it is time for a nap.

Waking up a little later, I have to get myself ready to take NeNe for a check-up and have a few things replaced and installed.

Returning home, I wait for the call to pick her up, and I finish sharing and uploading my latest video. I need to communicate better, as the mechanics didn’t change the bulbs. I asked them to check. And the headlight I asked them to replace turned out to be broken, so that was forty quid thrown down the drain.

After bringing Ne Ne home, I decided to buy the bulbs. I will replace them myself.

I also have a feeling they weren’t completely honest with me, so I may have to think about going elsewhere in the future. My brother recommended someone I may look up.

After cooking some food, I went to watch a film. The one I originally chose was in a different language, so I watched Red One instead. I know it’s a Christmas movie, but it was the right time to watch it. I eventually went to sleep.

Tuesday 3rd

I woke up too early. So I went into the front room and read my book for a few hours.

When it was time, I got ready to go out. It is book club day, and I know I am on holiday, but I love going to book club, so I wasn’t going to miss it.

There were some problems, and I ended up being the only attendee. I wasn’t happy, but I stayed a while to read my book. Updating on the Teams app, I informed them that I had chosen the genre for the next book.

I haven’t checked to see if anyone has responded to it at the time of writing, but I am slowly getting to a point, as with most things: I am the last person on a sinking ship and have a thimble to help me. After I got home, about an hour or so later, we went to Asda for some provisions.

I went away disappointed again. They had run out of the latest favourite bread, Kingsmill 50/50 farmhouse. I normally buy the Kingsmill 50/50, but the taste has been slightly off since trying other cheap brands. But I am hooked on the farmhouse-style bread.

I have been having a problem during this holiday: not getting enough sleep. Because of this, I have allowed stress to get in my way. Most of the day, I have had a one-sided tension headache that slowly built up in Asda, and I was concerned I may have an attack. However, I was somehow able to keep myself together and make it home okay.

Resting, I gave in and went to bed for a nap, and that nap was a little longer than expected. I slept for about six hours.

Wednesday 4th

After a few hours of doomscrolling, I am writing this blog. And I don’t know what I am doing. I am getting a little emotional. And I am tired; I’m going to go back to bed.

The original plan for today was that the missus had a job meeting/interview, but when she woke up, she was in near-paralysing pain, which came from her back. She could barely walk. So after contacting the GP, she was asked to go to the surgery to see the doctor.

It turns out she may have sprained her back. Her interview was out of the question, which was a shame, as this was the first interview in months.

After a quick trip to Lakeside to pick up her medication, I received a message from the book club that a couple of books had been selected. I did some research on the books; I realised I have one of them at home on my to-be-read bookshelf. So that is what I voted for. At home, I went back to my research on installing Windows 11 and realised I could install it the same way the main PC is set up, so I installed my spare hard drive.

And with my spare USB memory stick, I created a boot drive.

I did this by downloading the Windows 11 ISO and one other piece of software to convert it to my needs. I didn’t finish it.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing. But I did manage to publish my latest book report and finished another.

Thursday 5th

Waking up early, I couldn’t go back to sleep as my mind started working on things.

I have plans for today; we will see how many of them will be achieved. The motivation kicks in when the missus wakes up, and I start with something I have no idea if I am doing right.

I attempted to fix the AlphaSmart I have been putting off for months. I have little to no experience with soldering; my work afterwards shows it. And of course, after trying. It doesn’t work. Looking at it, I believe I may have burnt the wiring, if that is a thing.

But I am happy with that, and even though I should expect better, I am not concerned.

I do have another thing to fix, but that will have to wait. There is another problem which I started yesterday. I will deal with the other thing after.

So for a while now, I have been wanting to upgrade my office PC to Windows 11, and after trying and failing, I decided to walk away. Yesterday I installed my spare 1TB SD hard drive. Today I installed Windows after I finished creating my USB boot drive.

I finally did it! Arms raised in success!

My plans for NeNe are on hold. I have to set up my upgraded PC with everything I need. It takes a long time, but after a few hours, I am more or less back to how I originally started.

Dinner was cooked, and I went to watch a film. I slept through most of it. After a while, I gave up on the film and went to bed.

Friday 6th

Waking up early again, I doomscrolled for a while, and after some food, I decided to catch up with my life blog. And also some online window shopping. There is a decision to be made, but that all depends on the missus. My plans for NeNe have to go through today, or I will never get around to it.

So after some dawdling and spending time with the missus, I got ready to replace some parts on NeNe. I have replacement bulbs for the brake lights and the licence plate lights. The wiper blades on the windscreen also need to be changed.

I worked out and fixed all the faults NeNe had, but I had a problem with the licence plate lights. The replacement lights weren’t long enough and didn’t fit the holder. So after I had everything installed, I even had the wife pop out and help me test the brake lights. I asked for a refund.

Back indoors, I reordered some new lights, and I bought a Dremel alternative. There is rust that needs to be fixed on NeNe’s back door and something on the seat rail. Not sure if it is rust, but I need to clean it.

In the office, I created my latest video and decided to change how I usually do things, and I didn’t care as much as I thought I would; the sound fit what I needed at the time.

Saturday 7th

Today is the wife’s birthday, and I have managed to get enough sleep to deal with the day.

We are going out, and I gave my wife the choice of where she wanted to go. The wife wanted to go to a garden centre, so I told her to have a look and pick some we had never been to before. So she picked a couple, and off we went.

The first stop: Hawley Garden Centre, Dartford.

The garden centre was nice. Some areas were fun, but for some reason, maybe the weather, or mostly just being there. I wasn’t feeling it. I know garden centres are for “the garden”, but a good garden centre will be dedicated to all plants. We don’t have a garden, but we have houseplants, and even though there was an attempt. No dice!

The houseplant section here is a tad bigger than Smith’s Orchard Garden Centre, but for what it was, it still felt small. The missus did find a plant. But this place wasn’t for us. However, for what it was, it is a good centre.

Next stop: Pepper Hill Garden Centre, Gravesend.

This is a franchise garden centre called Millbrook. When we parked up, there were other shops around the car park, but we ignored them and went inside.

Walking in this place was night and day compared to most centres. The houseplant section is traditionally at the end of your visit as you approach the checkouts, but here, it is where you enter. And they have a selection to be proud of.

The missus had fun chinwagging with an educated staff member and other customers. I found a few plants and headed to the cake section to see what I could find. They have a very nice selection. Again, they are normally placed near the exit. But here they have been made into a larger food shop area.

I searched through their shop and found some sugar; we had run out. This will save me time later, and we can have a cup of tea when we get home.

We had fun, which is something I wasn’t expecting. But after spending more money than expected, we left, popped to IKEA for a couple of things and then headed home.

The rest of the day was spent with the wife looking after her new plants and me testing her birthday cake before she had some.

Sunday 8th

The holiday is nearly over, but today I have to get my things ready to go back to work. I am annoyed, as I have finally started getting my sleep pattern back to normal, and now I have to go back to how it was before. This week’s sleep hasn’t been the best.

But I have everything sorted; all I have to do is go to bed.

I am also waiting for a response to a bid I placed on eBay, but I don’t think they will respond. I think they believe I may have taken the piss. They sent an offer for their item, but I sent a different number. Then they sent a higher number, larger than their original offer. So I don’t think they are happy with me. It’s called haggling for a reason!

Before work, after waking up, I have nearly caught up on this blog. And I am now about to start my latest book, which is the book club choice of the month. The book I have just finished is the last of the trilogy. I am sad it has ended, but also glad I have finished it.

Monday 9th

First night back at work, and it is a little bit of what I expected. I will, over time, get the area back in order and how I prefer it. But for now, I will deal with what is happening at work.

I am happy to be back, but at the same time, I could do without it.

The night went okay. But I was left annoyed by one of our deliveries that refused to take our empties. They have been piling up for a while and need to be gone.

Tuesday 10th

It is a big night on the delivery front, and I have a fellow gatekeeper I trained to help me along. We have eight trailers to tip, and we will need three drivers tonight, or it won’t happen. And for those who work in large distribution centres that handle up to a hundred trailers.

I know!

Been there, done that.

Compared to a warehouse. Our premises consist of a shop and a small loading bay area.

Anyway. We were doing well until one trailer arrived an hour late. That time increased as they had to unstrap the trailer. Because of this, I was unable to see it completed. Leaving it for someone else to finish.

A change in the training that threw me for a loop.

When I am trained in something, that information becomes sacred. So any change to that, my brain not only fights the new information, but I am fighting myself to say it is okay.

I felt the need to explain myself to my manager. As I assumed, they may have taken little to no action as a problem. At the same time, I also complained about what another manager did. I didn’t like this, as they pretty much called me a liar about something they created.

I also emailed the company that refused to take our empties. But as I didn’t have any contact details, I had to email their customer service. I included the paperwork and photos of what we had accumulated.

Wednesday 11th

I am going to have to write and email at some point. I will be making sure everyone knows how to fill out the paperwork. Someone is dealing with the drivers and not completing the first part: breaking the seal.

Apart from that, everything runs smoothly except that the last delivery is a no-show. This ended up with me corresponding with someone who asked what happened, and after we worked out the rebooking, they ignored it and changed it.

So leaving the decision with us is meaningless.

I had a response to the email about the empties. This gave me the idea to update our contact details for the companies we work with. I know I could have asked upstairs for help. But where would be the fun in that? And I think I did a good job. I used old emails and website information to create an updated address book.

And this led me to…

…As I had some extra time, I decided to create some more decorating ideas and then emailed them to those who can help. I am hoping it can be started soon. I plan to have the main wall in the loading bay office area turned into a notice board. At present, it isn’t being used to its full capacity. I want to change that.

At home, I am searching for a bulb set I recently found out was a thing for NeNe. I saw what I was looking for and bought two sets. The plan is to take out what I don’t need, use what I need now, and replace everything else with what NeNe requires.

I have a list of the bulbs and fuses I need. I will go through it when they have arrived.

Screwing up a little by not reading the title fully. I bought blue LED licence plate lights when I wanted the standard colour. So I will need to get them again.

Thursday 12th

A day off, where I’m not working, and I am trying to relax to get myself back in order.

I published my latest blog a little late, and after some doomscrolling, I continued with this blog. I am a bit behind, so I am writing this backwards to remember what happened.

For some reason, I have become extremely tired.

Friday 13th

It was a semi-busy night at work, but it went smoothly. Near the end of the shift, I was called upstairs for a sit-down meeting with my fellow gatekeeper. A little while later, another coworker and manager came, and we tried to work on a solution to our problems. Apparently, certain information was not being sent where it needed to go.

We may have found the reason why, but we will have to see how that goes and also access needs to be given to me and my fellow gatekeeper.

The meeting went on a little late, so I gave up my break time to sort out the plants’ delivery and managed to complete the paperwork with a little help just before my time was up.

Parking up before work. My key fob wouldn’t lock the NeNe. The battery died. So I had to leave her unlocked as I went into work.

Saturday 14th

Today would have been fine. I handled the gatekeeping as I would normally do. Dealt with a stressed-out manager. And then having to deal with another manager who saw fit to give me a bollocking for no reason. Well, there was a reason, but the only problem was that I hadn’t created it. That manager didn’t investigate first; if they had, they would have figured out it was their department’s fault that things weren’t happening, not mine.

So I let my frustrations out on my stressed-out manager.

Did I get an apology? Did I Heck! But they knew they had done wrong when they spoke to me next. However, they didn’t admit it.

Lunch time, I remembered I have a key door lock on NeNe, and it also turns out that it is not working, the key only goes round and round. So that is another thing I will have to get around to fixing.

I rushed indoors when I got home, and amazingly, we had the battery I needed for my key fob. After changing the battery, I went back outside and locked NeNe. So that is one half of the problem fixed for now.

We are low on provisions, so we have ordered some stuff online and will pop out tomorrow to stock up some more.

Sunday 15th

A sudden change in routine. I am on a truck tonight. I helped with the loading bay when they needed it. But apart from that, it was an easy night.

I was also glad for the practise. It’s been a while. I also learned something that I should have learned a while ago, but it turned out I didn’t need it at this time. So I have stored the information away for later.

There was an incident at work involving a trailer shifting. I was left half-tipped for now.

There was no rest when I went home. I changed, and we went out shopping.

Back home, we didn’t get time to eat our food as the online shops arrived surprisingly on time. This has never happened before.

We had a wonderful time as I sat there while the wife f’ing and blinding while trying to build a different brand LEGO plant. We got this from B&M earlier on when we went shopping. She may need to get some new glasses. The information was sitting in front of her, but she refused to see or acknowledge it.

I went to bed really late, so late that I was too tired even to read my book.

Monday 16th

I woke up around half one. Later than expected. But I need it.

The wife was still up playing Animal Crossing. I finished my uploads and started updating our travel laptops for our journey at the end of the week.

It wasn’t until nearly four that my wife went to bed. This left me alone to do my things. So after some doomscrolling, I get back to updating my travel laptops.

I was updating my VPN when I discovered that the prices had changed. If I cancel my current subscription to a new one, I save about 50% a year, so that is what I do. I also doubled the number of computers I can attach my vpn to, which is cool.

I also contacted the people we will be staying with. We need information about keys and how to collect them. Seeing as they work on a farm, they texted back straight away at 6.30 in the morning.

I checked my various social media pages for my video and found that the number of subscribers has been increasing. At the moment it is currently:

Tuesday 17th

Arriving at work, I was forgotten about as they believed I wasn’t in. Or they did know I was coming in and forgot about me, as it seems they were a little stressed.

The bays are overstocked and need to be cleared, but it isn’t happening any time soon.

I think I overdid it with my exercises before work, as I keep getting a twinge in my right side.

There weren’t many trailers today. But we did have an unscheduled trailer arrive, so we had to turn them away.

There were a few other mistakes, but I did what I could to resolve them. I made sure the relevant people knew.

Getting home. After some food, I went back out to NeNe to fit some more bulbs. But again, I find that not all bulbs are the same. So now I have been researching, and after a little while, I worked out the designated numbers of the bulbs I need. I only have to work out the best and cheapest way to buy them.

I woke up for work, but my head isn’t feeling great. So I put my hat on and hope today’s exercises will help the blood get to my head. It could just be tiredness, but we will see.

Wednesday 18th

A long night at work, and even though there wasn’t much to do, I went and sorted out a few things that had been needing fixing for a few days now.

But then I found out what was happening tomorrow, and we were wondering why. There are too many trailers coming in tomorrow.

After speaking with a higher manager, I am hoping it will be sorted before I return tonight.

Leaving work, I went to a shop and bought more of the bulbs that I needed. Parking up at home, I didn’t go in. Instead, I installed the bulbs there and then and was happy with the results, even though I lost a wire for a few minutes while searching and dealing with my sliced finger. But now, for the first time in over a year, the warning light has gone off.

Arms raised, Success!

Finally getting home, I sorted myself out while the missus stressed over the visitor coming to inspect the ceiling.

Before work, I was unable to finish my latest blog in time, so I will have to publish it tomorrow. I am not Happy!

Thursday 19th

We had some luck as a total of three trailers have been rebooked for another day. But we still had the problem with where to put the bulk stock.

But we got through it okay, I think, and we were constantly busy. I even had to jump on the counterbalance for a while to help out. I left work without completing the paperwork, but I had someone to back me up.

An update on our home: We have confirmed another leak from upstairs, the missus contacted them, and they have found it and are sorting it out. We have a water stain in our kitchen. The missus is doing a great job at sorting this out. Even with it giving her anxiety, she is enjoying the drama of it all.

I have finally finished my latest book. I want the next book.

Friday 20th

All I have to do tonight is get through my shift, and I will be on holiday.

The shift went smoothly, and nearly everything came in. I missed the final trailer as I ran out of time for my shift.

I also had the honour of giving the coordinator their first lesson on completing the final paperwork.

When I got home, I started getting everything ready for our trip tomorrow. The wife was her usual self, getting overly anxious about everything, worrying over nothing. After all the fussing, we sat down and rested while we ate.

Eventually, I went to bed, but not before I started my next video, as I needed it uploaded before we left.

I woke up just before midnight and continued finishing my video.

Saturday 21st

The wife went to bed after a little while, and I did what I could. I doomscrolled for a while and then ate something while getting back to watching the Tulsa Kings.

I tried to get some sleep, but only managed about an hour as the wife was up early. So I went back to my video and realised I had screw it up. So I had to redo it.

Finally uploading the larger version of the video. We finished packing, loaded up NeNe, and we were off.

The usual traffic jams held us up. Everyone had to find out what the police were up to. But it wasn’t long until we reached our destination. Google got it wrong, bringing us a couple of doors short.

Parking up, it felt a bit weird. The place looked expensive, and we didn’t.

But we weren’t staying at the main house; we were staying at the studio flat around the corner.

Watch Your Head

Going into the studio flat, we found it was one room with the toilet and shower room downstairs. For some reason, we didn’t believe those photos. The room is above a garage. The biggest problem with the flat is that it is built in a triangular-shaped room. So from the moment I entered, I bashed my head and continued doing so for the rest of the day. I banged my head so hard at one point that I fell back onto the floor.

After settling for a little while, we headed to the shops for a couple of things we didn’t bring with us. I even got a birthday cake for Monday.

Coming back, we settle down for the rest of the night. I went to bed a little earlier and reawakened when it was time for the wife to come to bed.

Sunday 22nd

I woke up early, and I had one thing on my mind that I had been waiting to do for a very long time. The wife hadn’t slept well and wasn’t feeling great. I tried to settle and help as best as I could, but I could only do so much. So I had a shower, made her a cup of tea, and headed out to the porch area.

Everything was covered in dew, so I got a little wet, but I was fine with that and relaxed as best I could, and read my book.

I went back in a little while later and had a quick talk with the wife to try again and help her. This time it worked, and she admitted what she wanted. So the solution was easy:

Garden centre.

Before going back out, I made some bacon sarnies and then continued reading until I could no longer sit in the crisp morning air. Which was at least over an hour, and then some more reading inside. We sorted ourselves out. And headed for the nearest best-looking garden centre.

Another problem was that I forgot to bring any deodorant. So I used the last of the one supplied by our host. I made a mental note to buy some while we were out.

The centre itself was nice, and they had a reasonably sized houseplant area. And the missus spent her time working out what she wanted. In the end, she came away with a sapling, and we headed to the shops to pick up a couple of things before heading back.

Back at the flat, we rested. I read my book, and the missus continued watching her programs we brought with us.

I managed to finish my book and start another when I realised it was time for bed. Tiredness had taken over. The wife stayed up and watched her programs.

Monday 23rd

It’s my birthday, and I don’t care.

Because of my snoring, my wife didn’t sleep well again, and I discussed the possibility of going home or going somewhere else. This flat is not suited to our needs, and staying another night is out of the question.

The missus bought me a present. It’s a book. I’m hoping I can read it with the other books I have chosen to bring with me.

We talked for a while, and the missus went to sleep, and I went outside to read my latest book. We still have to make a decision. But today will be our last day here.

After the wife woke up, we ummed and ahhed until we finally decided on where we were going. So we started packing and got ourselves ready to leave.

Moving on

We packed everything up and loaded NeNe with all our stuff. Before leaving, I sent a message to the owner about our departure and spoke to the son about how to exit without using the keys.

It took nearly two hours to arrive at our destination, and we were happy with our new home.

Our new abode is in a place called the Orchards. A static caravan park in Clacton. A holiday camp called Haven. We felt the difference straight away.

I was hoping for a view of the beach, but we are near the back of the site in an area called the Hallows. The wife likes this, as it reminds her of Harry Potter.

We settled ourselves in, and before we could settle down for the night, we walked over to the Mini Market situated on the site. And as expected, as we were in the middle of nowhere, the prices saw us coming. Back at our new home for the next few days, we cooked dinner and rested up watching a TV show I brought with me.

As it was still my birthday, I decided to have some of the birthday cake I bought a couple of days ago. It wasn’t amazing but edible.

Well, it ain’t Colin!

A little after eight, I was too tired to stay up, and so I went to bed, leaving the wife to watch her show I brought with me.

Tuesday 24th

I was awoken by my wife, who was too cold and wanted to use me as a hot water bottle.

A little while later, we got up, not knowing it was only 5 in the morning. I was feeling good after finally getting a decent night’s sleep. But that didn’t last long as we sat down on the sofa, the tiredness of the past few days of stress, and maybe longer than that, finally left us and caught up at the same time.

Time to read

We decided to make some food and relax until I was ready to continue with what I have been wanting to do this week: read on the decking.

Maybe with a cup of tea.

As there wasn’t any garden furniture on the decking, I took a chair from the dining table and the coffee table. But after a while, it became too uncomfortable. So I replaced the chair with a couple of sofa cushions, which I placed on the floor against the wall, and it seemed to be working well, except my back is a little stiff.

I managed to finish my book and decided to catch up on my blogs. I used my freewrite until, for some reason, the typewriter freaked out and deleted all my work except for the most recent blogs I’d started. So I had to rewrite this blog after fixing whatever was wrong with my phone so I could use it as a mobile hotspot.

So I have spent way too much time sitting outside on the decking doing what I wanted to do, and I am loving it. The wife has been inside watching her show and stopped for a while to build one of her LEGO sets. Which, about a couple of weeks ago, would not have been a thing.

I want to do this more often.

Not such a great thing is while sitting here, having the gardeners driving past mowing and trimming the area around me and sending the odd piece of grass into the air, in my direction. Eventually, it got too cold, and I went inside. My knee wasn’t enjoying it. I continued to read my book, and my wife watched her program until it was time for bed.

Wednesday 25th

I received a text from Haven yesterday about the water losing pressure. We have had problems with it ever since we arrived. We woke up to no water at all. It was just after six when we both slowly woke up.

Our plan for today is to go to the beach, but we will have to wait a while; we need to get cleaned up before going out.

Before heading out for some exercise, the wife has been trying to get in touch with the person who will be fixing our ceiling to split the invoice into two, because we have been asked to split the total amount. I had gotten a little fed up with the wife getting stressed over something so simple to fix.

So I created the invoice for both amounts. I sent a copy to them for them to edit if they so chose, and with PDFs of the final product.

I am hoping this will fix the going backwards and forwards of it all.

Beach?

When we finally were able to go out, we wished we hadn’t bothered. The wind was strong. So strong that the missus ended up with an earache.

The beach itself wasn’t actually a beach but more like marshland and then water, so I had a quick look, and then we walked back. After visiting the Mini Market, we popped into an information desk to inform them that I had broken the HDMI lead and about the small leak on the bathroom sink.

Coming back, we went back to relaxing and settled down for the rest of the day. We have a decision to make. But we have time to give it an answer.

I came to a realisation and understanding of people who go caravaning around the country. With the holidays I have been taking over the years. I have been doing what they have been doing. Drive somewhere. Pitch up. Relax and do nearly nothing, and after a few days, go home again.

I truly love it!

Thursday 26th

Waking up, we decided to stay the last night.

Today was originally the day we were going home. But as we moved venue, we have enjoyed the rest at our new abode, and I have paid up until tomorrow morning. We are going to use it for as long as possible. But even though we are leaving tomorrow, we must start at some point to pack things away, placing them into NeNe.

But until then, I will continue to write and read my books. I have nearly finished all the main books I brought with me, which is something I have never done before. I will hopefully be finished and start the book I received on my birthday.

The missus is still placed on the sofa and has nearly caught up with Call the Midwife. Meanwhile, I will try again and read on the deck.

I managed to finish another book and made a start on my bIrthday book. I did stop for a while to write a couple of book reports and continue with this blog. But it started to get cold outside, so I came in, and we cooked some food to help clear out what we brought with us.

PSA

If you consider coming to a holiday park, please be aware that the caravan will move in strong winds. There will be people working around you. We have had gardeners using power tools and mowers. And you may have the general public walk by. They may even want to talk to you, so be warned. There will occasionally be knocking sounds around the caravan. But if you can ignore them, you will be fine.

Some good news, all of the work I wrote before on my freewrite has come back.

Some time later, while we were settling down for the evening, we changed our minds. And by around eight o’clock, we were back home unloading NeNe.

Friday 27th

We are both missing the Caravan and wish to be gone from here again. If we had unlimited funds, I would happily do just that.

But we are home and have to deal with home things. Humbug!

As we have internet now, I got back to editing these blogs, and hopefully, I will be able to get back to my book.

My brother has called a couple of times asking me to visit him. And my other brother messaged me that there were free plants available at work. So I told the missus, and she wasn’t sure, so I dragged her out, and she had her pick of the trolley.

Back home, we discussed getting a takeaway, but we changed our minds later on. But I think the wife really wants one.

Saturday 28th

Waking up early, I watched some wrestling while my wife checked on her plants.

I made a promise to visit my brother, and I got myself ready to go when I had everything sorted at home.

I popped over for a while, and as I was leaving, my brother gave me two whole bags of stuff. When I got home, I went through all the items I was given. I was happy with what I received. One particular Item now rests on my desk next to another starship.

Klingon Bird of Prey.

For dinner, we chose Chinese and spent some time watching some shows together before I got tired and went to bed.

Sunday 29th

I wanted to spend the day finishing my blogs, but I got stuck in shopping mode. I was after an OBD 2 device. Its purpose is to plug into the car, and it can help diagnose any problems or clear any fixed problems the computer still thinks are a problem.

Now, Temu, I have a problem with you. Why do I have to spend £15 before I am allowed to buy something, and then still not be allowed to buy the products I want because the products come from different places? If it’s local, it’s okay, but from the Temu ” warehouse”, we have a problem. Fair enough, I bought more items that equalled the same price as one on AliExpress. But why do I have to waste my time on this hassle?

I eventually got back to what I originally wanted to do, and I have more or less caught up. I was even able to start uploading the video I finished yesterday. But what I would like more than anything is to go back to the caravan and do nothing. The only problem is that everywhere I check costs a small fortune because of the time of year I want to go. I will figure something out, but the only problem is that tomorrow is my last day of holiday.

Monday 30th

I woke up early and started getting ready for tonight when I return to work.

Waking up. I got to a point where I couldn’t sleep anymore. So I decided to finish the book I got for my birthday. I know I should have finished it by now, but after getting home from our trip, I have been lazy and haven’t read anything.

I got up eventually, and there was a strange sound coming from somewhere. It turned out that the missus had thrown out a sound machine, and I was hearing Yoda’s button being pushed in the rubbish bag.

And now the time has come for me to be mentally prepared to go back to work. I have made my meals this morning. My uniform is ready for me to put on, and now the rest of my routine shall commence.

I need to find a way to make a large amount of money very soon. I am done with working life.

Tuesday 31st

First day back, and everything went okay. I fixed some problems and sorted out some others. And then dealing with the other problems that others had.

Getting home, I was tired. But before bed, we went online shopping for some needed provisions. I was also able to publish my latest book report.

Thank you for checking in on me. I will see you next month.
