So What’s Been Happening Recently? #17

Whilst I have been sitting around twiddling my thumbs I thought I would do a couple of computer courses through the union I am with. No. This isn’t an ad. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. It’s an elearning site with loads of free courses if you’re a union member. They also link to another site where you do have to pay.
I managed to complete NOCN Level 1 & 2 Award in IT User Skills (ITQ). In record time. I think each course is supposed to be completed in about fifteen weeks. I did both in less than four. Now I just have to work out what I want to do next.

21st June was my brothers birthday and we decided to spend the day at the cinema. We met up about 10ish outside of the cinema. I got there a bit earlier so I could get him a present. I got him a camera with a sd card to get him up and running. I was quite proud of what I had bought him and was a bit naffed when he turned it down.  So after meeting up we grabbed some drinks from the shop. I am not paying cinema prices, if I don’t have to. And went in to see our first movie.

The film is still great the second time around and it still got me at those two magical scenes. If you have seen it. You know what they are.
After the film we went for some grub at McDonalds. And they got my order wrong. I, of course, was unhappy. But also too lazy to go back and change it.

This was a ‘we’ll make it for the sake of making it’ movie. The story started off well. Then led into a predictable, cliched film. The writers must have been bored. I am not going to spoil it for you. But, come on!
After leaving again we had a wonder around Lakeside shopping centre. Popped into a few shops and returned the camera my brother didn’t want. The plan was to go home for a couple of hours and return to meet my wife for one more film at the cinema. It ended up being too late as I realised the time, heading to the bus stop. So I came back and hanged around with my brother until the missus finished her shift.
My brother went home and Me and the missus went for a meal at KFC in the food court. At this point I was knackered and waiting for my second wind to kick in. And the wife had to put up with me being grumpy. Sorry wifey. I am still not sure about that popcorn chicken though.
So to the final film and it was Child’s Play. The wife wanted to watch it as she is a massive fan of the originals. I’ll prove this, in a later blog.

This is not a reboot of the original Child’s Play or of the rest of the franchise. Even though it looks a hell of alot like they tried. This is it’s own film. If you see as such, you won’t have a problem with it. I had to explain this to the wife. She pretty much had a small meltdown comparing the two. I had worked this out about a quarter of the way in. And I actually said to myself “This isn’t a Chucky film”.
The film left itself open for a sequel. But not sure if it will happen.
The end of a long day and I was happy to go home, to bed. But I did manage to get over my 10,000 steps in. 11,046 actually. I just checked. My Hip didn’t appreciate that, at all.
